Celebrating Trailblazers: 10 Women and Girls Who Are Shaping the Future of STEM

Updated: Feb 11, 2023

International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an important day to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Despite the progress made in gender equality, women and girls still face numerous challenges and barriers to accessing and succeeding in STEM fields. This day is a reminder to work towards creating a more inclusive and gender-equal world, where women and girls have equal opportunities to participate and contribute to STEM.

Throughout history, women have made significant contributions to the advancement of science, but their achievements have often gone unrecognized. Let’s use this day to celebrate these trailblazers who have broken barriers and inspired future generations of women in STEM.

I have collaborated with two authors to offer our e-books for FREE on 2/10 & 2/11!

I have also compiled a list of famous women and girls in STEM who have made amazing achievements. You can print and share with your children and students.

I created a couple of worksheets to help you start the conversation about what your kids, or students, want to be when they grow up. (Created for varying ages.)

Lastly, here is a read along video of my book "Reach for the Stars Like Kalpana" you and your children can enjoy.

On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let us celebrate their achievements and continue working towards a more inclusive and gender-equal world.
